What will I sell, and to whom?

You sell the platform finance teams use to run company spend and payments: corporate cards, bill pay, financing and B2B payments, with AI-powered spend management. Your buyers are mostly CFOs, treasurers, controllers and other senior finance leaders, at companies that range from small businesses to large enterprises in Mexico, Brazil and Colombia, our core markets.

Our February 2026 newsroom release says the Goldman Sachs partnership that began in 2022 helped us begin serving larger mid-market and enterprise clients such as Smart Fit, Holcim, OCESA, Viva Aerobus and the Mexican Stock Exchange. Our mid-market and enterprise postings describe long, multi-stakeholder sales cycles through procurement and legal reviews, and ask you to position Clara as a strategic partner rather than just a vendor.

  • Corporate cards and spend management: physical, virtual and single-use cards with limits and controls, plus Clara TravelPay for travel spend.
  • Bill Pay and financing: move a company's payables onto one platform, from approvals to supplier payments to reconciliation. According to clara.com, payments can be financed on a Clara credit line for up to 40 days.
  • International payments and FX: win companies' cross-border supplier payment flows. Our accounts payable product page lists transfers to more than 40 countries in 10 currencies, and the International Payments & FX posting asks for a B2B business originator, not a trader.
  • Fuel & Fleet: Clara Fleet Card in Mexico, an SAT-authorized fuel e-wallet that integrates with the spend management platform, and Clara Veículos in Brazil. Buyers include logistics and finance directors at companies that run vehicle fleets.
  • Clara Global: expense management for teams in any country and currency, sold from Mexico City with no geographic limits to CFOs, finance directors and HR leaders.
  • Clara Contabilidad: a fiscal intelligence layer for SAT compliance, sold to SMB and mid-market companies in Mexico and to their accountants.

Which sales roles does Clara hire for?

We hire across the whole revenue team, from sales development to running a country, and every posting describes the same team: high talent density, low ego and high ownership. Openings change often, so the live list below shows what is open today.

  • Territory and regional sales: Sales Lead (Líder de Ventas Regional) and Territory Sales Executive or Lead roles across Mexico, and Territory Sales Expert, Territory Sales Lead and city Account Executive roles across Brazil.
  • Product-specialist account executives: Bill Pay, International Payments & FX, Fuel & Fleet, Clara Global, Clara Contabilidad and SaaS Specialist roles that go deep on one product.
  • Mid-market and enterprise account executives, plus an Enterprise Sales Lead: complex deals with CFOs and treasurers at large companies.
  • Key account managers: own and grow our relationships with our most important clients. Our Mexico key account manager postings ask for a FANTER (farmer plus hunter) mindset.
  • Partnerships: build channels with accountants, software resellers (VARs), and financing and travel partners. The Mexico VARs & Accountants posting puts it plainly: there is no inherited program to babysit; you will build it.
  • Sales Development Representative (AI & Automation): prospect CFOs and controllers across Mexico and Colombia while you help build the systems behind your own pipeline.
  • Country leadership: the Mexico Country Manager posting describes leading Clara's largest commercial team and reporting to the CEO. The Country Lead Argentina posting, based in Buenos Aires, describes a net-new territory where Clara Global comes first.

How do territories work, and where will I be based?

Territory roles own the full sales cycle in a defined region. Our Mexico regional postings describe everything from identifying prospects to closing high-impact deals, replicating proven playbooks and taking full ownership of the territory's success. Many of our Mexico and Colombia sales postings add that we carve out clear, fair territories so you can run your own book of business.

Many of our territory postings describe an emerging territory for Clara with no local office: you work from your city day to day, ramp up in person with the team, and come together in person for team moments, events and customer visits through the year. Many Brazil territory postings also ask that you already be based in the city, with an active network among local finance leaders.

Most of our sales postings in Mexico City, São Paulo and Bogotá describe a hybrid role, split between the office, customers and home, with no set minimum of office days for most roles. Some São Paulo roles ask for at least two days a week at our Itaim Bibi office, some Mexico City roles are on-site and some Bogotá roles are remote-first. The arrangement varies by role, so check the posting.

How does pay work in sales?

Every Clara posting offers a competitive salary and stock options (ESOP) from day one. Many of our sales postings in Mexico and Colombia add a transparent commission model: zero commission caps, variable compensation aligned with business goals, and real-time visibility of your metrics, so you always know where you stand.

Those postings also say our top-performing AEs consistently earn more than their managers. The Bill Pay and Cali Enterprise AE postings spell it out: base salary plus uncapped commission and equity from day one, with your variable tied directly to the accounts you close.

We don't publish salary, OTE or quota figures, and not every sales posting describes the same pay structure. Ask your recruiter how pay works for the role you're considering.

How does AI show up in selling at Clara?

Most of our sales and go-to-market postings ask for experience with, or interest in, AI tools that automate and improve sales work. Our SDR (AI & Automation) posting goes further and says plainly that it isn't a traditional SDR role: you own your pipeline and help build the systems behind it, using AI and automation for prospect research, account prioritization, personalization and follow-up. Some AE postings ask you to show how you have already used AI or automation in your own work.

Some of our Brazil sales postings name the tools: HubSpot, Metabase, Amplemarket and n8n to manage pipeline, automate workflows and track performance. Alongside the sellers, our AI Growth Automation Engineer postings describe a role that ships SDR co-pilots, outbound agents, lifecycle automations and onboarding flows, and owns whether they actually move pipeline and activation.

Leaders build too. The Mexico Country Manager posting says most leaders at Clara build their own tools and ship working internal apps with Claude Code, Codex and similar tools, and many of our sales postings say that even our CEO is building tools to help your productivity.

What should I show in my application?

Show us results you drove, with numbers you can explain. Many of our sales postings say we don't hire just for connections: we value people who actually care to learn our product, solve real customer problems and know how to close.

If you meet the must-haves, apply. Every posting says the nice-to-haves are a bonus, not a requirement.

  • Results you can walk through: pipeline you built, deals you closed and targets you beat, with the context behind the numbers.
  • Financial fluency: the Bill Pay posting asks for the ability to translate complex financial processes into clear business benefits for senior decision-makers such as CFOs and treasurers.
  • An automation you built: the Bill Pay posting asks that you have automated part of your own sales or finance workflow with AI or scripts and can show us, and the Cali Enterprise AE posting lists having used AI or automation to research accounts, personalize outreach or cut CRM admin as a nice-to-have.
  • Your local network, for territory roles: many Brazil territory postings ask for an active network among finance leaders in your region.

How will I grow in sales at Clara?

Every posting includes an annual learning budget and accelerated development paths. In sales, growth also means owning more: many of our Mexico and Colombia sales postings describe your own book of business in a clear territory, and new product launches that keep adding to what you can cross-sell.

Those postings also say we reject the revolving door culture: when we hire you, we invest in your quick success and long-term retention. Our openings run from SDR and account executive to mid-market and enterprise roles, sales leads and country leadership; we don't publish a promotion timeline.

English is our working language, with Spanish and Portuguese every day. Most of our Brazil sales postings list basic Spanish, or a desire to learn it, as a nice-to-have, and many of our Mexico sales postings do the same for Portuguese.
